Your fighter fights on its own, and the Gatekeeper fights better.
You fight with lies. Each button is a lie, a fake move, that you slip into the Gatekeeper's head. For a few seconds it fights the way the lie says, and your fighter punishes the mistake. A lie you repeat works less each time: the red bar shows how much it still believes each one.
